This has already been created, but everyone’s is slightly different, right? This X-Ray Texture Pack helps you find ores, chests, and caves easier. This is useful if a server has anti-xray. Unlike most X-Ray Mods, this texture pack allows you to actually SEE where you are going. I have also made an Ingame Texture Pack Changer, it works well with switching between texture packs quickly, like the X-Ray.

About Improved Default

The Features
Pumpkin face removed
Glass improved, less intrusive
Cactus more yellow
Removed grey spots on the dirt
Longer sides of grass and snow
Less green sugarcane
Yellow flowers slightly darker
Gravel slightly less intrusive
Frostier ice
Porkchops slightly darker
Melons and Melon slices are more green
Glistering melon has sparkle particles
Slightly smoother cobblestone and mossy cobble
Browner more natural Clay
Softer Wool
Removed dark pixels on all wooden blocks
Iron ore darker and more realistic
More yellow and golden wheat
Ender pearls and Eye of the enders are a darker purple
Fish is cooked more

I am working on a texture pack which I like to call ‘Brisk’. It is somewhat simplistic and clean, hopefully. It still has a long way to go – I hope to change as much as possible visually in Minecraft. Up to this point, I have changed the GUI and Terrain (though they both need some more work).

There is still a long way to go…I have just been looking for different opinions on what looks good and what doesn’t. (Thanks much to MegaIPOD for his help, and for forcing me to post here.)

I suppose you want to download it and such, right? I’ll assume you already know how to download texture packs, where to put them, etc.

Okay, phew. Hey all, finally updated the pack again. Been a while, had a ton of real life crap and drama get in the way for a while, and now my comp is acting up. (Thankfully I know the issue, and have the replacement part already on arrival.) Anyway, the pack is now compatible with 1.1 and snapshot 12w04a. It also features some animated textures, including the standard liquids and portal ones! (no fire still yet. That’s gonna be a challenge I think.) Give it a download, and check the changelog to see just how much stuff I crammed into this sucker lately ^^ Will probably also add a couple new screenshots soon. UPDATE: Hey sorry guys, you’ll have to redownload. I goofed and screwed up the transparency for the items.png. It’s fixed now. Now to run over to planetminecraft and fix the mistake there.

So you may be wondering why I made this thread. Well, to make a long story short, History got too busy and put me in charge of Last Days. I made this thread so I could organize and update with less hassle. This is merely a continuation of History’s work, which was a continuation of Doku’s work. I only take credit for the textures I added and will be adding. And yes, I do have History’s permission. He was the one who asked me to do this. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Origin

LAST DAYS was a texture pack started by Doku (creator of the ever popular RPG pack). Doku began this pack with the essential land-scape defining textures (Dirt, Grass, Stone, water, trees, etc) but did not have time to do much more before discontinuing the pack. The concept he had, and the work he finished was to good to let die. Using Doku’s visual and conceptual foundation History continued the pack, expanded it, and improved it. Now I have been chosen to keep LAST DAYS updated and to continue to improve it, just like History had before.

Objective

The goal of LAST DAYS is to take doku’s brilliant foundational work and bring it to its logical conclusion; a full scale, game changing, texture and sound overhaul which takes full advantage of the existing mechanics of minecraft and brings them into a post apocalyptic setting.

The T42 HD texture pack is available for download. This is still a work in progress, but most of it is done. The only thing left to do is finish the mobs as everything else is in there.

How to Install:

Download MCPatcher: http://www.minecraft…f=1021&t=252531
Download the latest version of SilkCraft (Do not unzip)
Close MineCraft if it is running
Open MCPatcher
Under options, change Fire and Portal to “Default”
Back under Mods, Click Patch
If you are on Windows, navigate to C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks
If you are on Mac, navigate to Macintosh HD/Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/minecraft/texturepacks
If you are on Linux, navigate to ~/.minecraft/texturepacks
Paste SilkCraft[version].zip into the above folder (Replace old versions)
Done!

Instructions:
1. If you haven’t used the HD Texture fix yet, please do. Check everything, and click okay to patch. Don’t forget to set it to 64×64.
2. Take the downloaded file and place it here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks
3. You can go to the run command at start for windows and type this in to get to appdata, which is hidden: %appdata%
4. NOTE: For me, foliage color, grass color and custom lava and water don’t show up, so i do this:
Go into the bin folder and open up the minecraft.jar with winrar or 7zip, and drag these files into it like this:
::grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png go into the misc folder.
::custom_lava_flowing.png, custom_lava_still.png, custom_water_flowing.png, and custom_water_still.png go into the root of the jar.
You should now see the changes in game.

New, whiter, cleaner, beds.

The ghasts are recognizers. Don’t die.

Wolves are like blue huskies. Take care of them. And yes, foliage doesn’t show… instructions below on how to get the foliage and grass color in the pack to work ingame.
